Dust From the Top Down

Tip · correct order to dust a room

Dust From the Top Down

Dusting in the wrong order means doing the work twice. Always begin at the highest point in a room — cornices, tops of frames and wardrobes, light fittings — and work downwards, so any dust you dislodge falls onto surfaces still to be cleaned rather than onto ones you have just finished. Finish at the floor, which catches everything. Use a cloth or tool that traps dust rather than scattering it into the air. This simple sequence is the backbone of an efficient, thorough clean. It is one of the principles behind our approach to luxury home care.
